WHO WE ARE
Studies have shown that just the simple presence of books has a significant impact on a child’s academic performance. Children who do not have regular access to books often enter school five years behind in literacy skills. Every Page Counts is a local non-profit created with the hope of fostering rich literacy environments in underserved areas. Through the installation of “outdoor bookshelves” community members are encouraged to borrow, read, and enjoy from a selection of books supplied by local book drives and donations. Still reading? Then get involved! Books are always needed, whether through a personal donation or your own book drive. Email us a preferred address/times and we will come pick up your donation. WHAT WE DO
Bookshelves
In an effort to provide a rich literacy environment to those who might not have access, Every Page Counts installs bookshelves in underserved neighborhoods. Book donations are categorized by reading level (elementary, middle school, and high school and up) and then assigned to a corresponding shelf in one of our bookshelves.
Bookdrives
Every Page Counts works with local schools and organizations to conduct book drives to stock and replenish the bookshelves. Find out if there are book drives in your area!
